Societal pressures

Tuesday night, my mum,sisters and I are sitting around, my littlest sister ,who is only 7, turned around and asked my mum to turn of 'Ben and Holly's little kingdom' and put on something else so when my parents friends showed up with their kids, they wouldn't know she was watching "baby shows" .

It left me speechless. I see how the media and society affect young people and adults, but to see it affect a 7 year old, it hurt.

How do children that young get these ideas, I always let all my family and friends know they are just who they should be, they are loved as they are and if someone doesn't like it screw them!

I hate that my sister feels like she has to hide what she loves because of what others might say!

What would you do?

Why can't we forgive and forget ?

I know sometimes something is said that you maybe can't forgive, but what if we can, why then do we carry our life's drama out and cause ourselves the unneeded stress ?  

Why can't we just move on, maybe ignore the people we are fighting with to save more arguments, or just be polite acquaintances.

Why do we need to hate those we once called friends, so much ? 

The beginning

The beginning is alway the hardest

I've never really been good at starting new things, it's frightening. 

But I am determind to voice my opinions, learn new things, get inspired and maybe even inspire someone else. 

So here goes nothing .

  

I am hoping to use this blog to express myself and let others do the same. 

Chances are it's not going to have a specific theme, it's just going to be things I do, things I think and what others say and think.

I like to hope I have some knowledge on things that happen in everyone's general lives, so if you would like me to post about something specific just leave a comment.
